■ Curator's Note
A 2015 original collage (unique piece) by Paris-based contemporary artist Matthew Rose.
As the title "Pop One" suggests, this ambitious work fuses the spirit of American Pop Art with Dadaist deconstruction and reconstruction. Rose samples pages from "Vintage Magazines"—material once consumed and discarded—and layers them with text and imagery to elevate them into an artwork with entirely new context.
Behind the light, graphical visual expression lies a witty, cynical gaze toward consumer society. It pairs exceptionally well with Mid-Century Modern furniture and contemporary interiors, serving as an intellectual accent to any space.
