Collector's Guide
Whether you're buying your first original artwork or adding to an established collection, this guide covers everything you need to know about purchasing through ART & DAY.
1. Authenticity & Certificate of Authenticity
Works sold under direct consignment agreements with ART & DAY — including works by Matthew Rose, Ryosuke Cohen, Nicolas Journoud, and Alexandre Imai — come with the artist's hand-signature and a Certificate of Authenticity (CoA). The certificate includes: work title, year of creation, medium, dimensions, edition number (for prints), and the artist's signature. Please check individual product pages to confirm whether a specific work includes a CoA.
For limited editions, the edition number (e.g. 3/15) is inscribed beside the artist's signature.
2. International Shipping & Customs (DDP)
ART & DAY ships all works on a DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) basis. This means the price you see includes all import duties, taxes, and customs fees — there are no additional charges upon delivery.
- Ships from: Tokyo, Japan
- Carrier: Tracked international courier (FedEx / DHL)
- Packaging: Each work is individually packed with archival-quality protective materials
3. Returns Policy

5. Framing

Some works (including selected Matthew Rose collages) are available framed. Check the individual product page or contact us to enquire.

We work with offices, hotels, clinics, and commercial spaces on multi-work installations, long-term loans, and curated selection consulting. Visit our Art for Business page for details.
7. FAQs
Q. Can I request additional photos or measurements before buying?
Yes. Contact us via the contact form with the work title and we'll send additional angles, scale references, or any other details you need.
Q. Are Brain Cell sheets by Ryosuke Cohen unique?
Yes. Each Brain Cell sheet is a one-of-a-kind composition assembled from mail received from artists around the world — no two sheets are the same. Sets are identified by issue number (e.g. Issues 1071–1105).
Q. Can I send a work as a gift?
Yes. Gift wrapping and a handwritten message card are available on request. Let us know at checkout or via the contact form.
Q. What is the resale value of works?
ART & DAY does not currently offer a resale or buyback service. For market context on our represented artists, we publish price guides and collector articles in our Journal.
