KNAM After Hours
A private evening at the museum, after the doors close.
Once the public has left, Karuizawa New Art Museum opens for your group alone.

The galleries and the chapel, reserved for you.
A curator walks your group through the collection of Japanese post-war and contemporary art. Then you step into the glass chapel in the birch forest, designed by Kengo Kuma with works by Jean-Michel Othoniel, reserved for you alone at night. Works on display can be acquired, and ART & DAY arranges shipping in Japan and worldwide.

Two ways to plan it
A day trip from Tokyo
About 70 minutes by Shinkansen, then 8 minutes on foot from Karuizawa Station. Spend the afternoon in Old Karuizawa, join After Hours at 17:30, dine, and take an evening train back.
Staying in Karuizawa
Fits between check-in and dinner: a quiet cultural evening in a resort town where most evenings end at the dinner table.
