■Keiko Miyata
Miyata developed the skills he learned while working at a stuffed animal company and went on to create his own unique world.
He began his career as a professional artist at the same time as Takashi Murakami and Yoshitomo Nara, and has produced many stuffed animal works. His works have been used as characters on television programs, and he is popularly introduced as one of the doll artists, but he should essentially be evaluated as a fine art artist. His works are completely new, even though they are called stuffed animals, and his works, created using colorful colors including fluorescent colors and combining various materials, have a futuristic sensibility. Recently he has also produced many ceramic works, making him an artist worth paying attention to.
■Jumbo-Rabbit mini
Jumbo Rabbit is one of the artist's early stuffed animal works, and in recent years, the number of works that the artist makes one by one has decreased due to collaborations with manufacturers, making it a valuable work in that it is all handmade by the artist. Inside it is a sound-making part that is found in a baby doll, so it makes a rolling sound when moved, and is a work filled with the artist's ingenuity and love.
