About the art handled by Art & Day
Share
ART & DAY features artworks and products from a wide range of fields, including many that are not available in existing galleries or shops.
This includes works in the underground art style, such as Fluxus, mail art, zine culture, and artist books, which have followed suit. We will also feature works, documents, and books by outstanding young artists who have been influenced by this art and are creating with new sensibilities.
In addition to post-war experimental items, we will also set up corners to introduce interesting themes from time to time.
For example, existing galleries in Japan rarely handle Ukiyo-e, collage, stamp art, or visual poetry works because they are unable to judge their value. However, these fields are highly regarded worldwide, and many interesting works are being produced in these fields. Works by outstanding artists are being introduced and sold in specialized magazines and galleries, so I think these fields will attract even more attention in the future.
Existing shops don't have connections with the artists who create these kinds of works, so they aren't often featured.
ART&DAY hopes to use its unique network to introduce outstanding works that have not been shown often in Japan until now, thereby contributing to culture while also introducing unknown, excellent art works to collectors.
